This app has no accounts. You do not give us a name, an email address, or a phone number, and there is nothing to sign up for. What follows is the full list of what leaves your phone and what happens to it.
What stays on your phone
Your deck lives on your device: the seventy-eight shuffled cards, which of them have been turned, the questions you asked in the current deck, the readings you received, and your finished decks. This is stored in the app's own storage. It is not backed up to us, and deleting the app deletes it.
The app also generates a random identifier the first time you open it. It is a random string, not linked to you, your phone, your Google account, or anything else. Its only job is to count how many readings you have used this month.
What is sent to us
When you ask a question, the following is sent to our reading service:
- The question you typed. It is needed to write a reading.
- The cards that were turned and the reasoning that led to each one.
- The random identifier above, so your monthly allowance can be counted.
- Your IP address, which every internet request necessarily carries.
When a reading finishes, the app also sends the finished reading, the number of cards it took, and timing and cost measurements. When a deck closes, it sends how many questions were asked and how many cards were left.
After a reading, the app also sends what you did next — turned another card, asked a new question, went back to the deck, or left the screen — and how long the reading was open before you did. If you answer "Did this feel complete?", your answer is sent too. These are stored next to the reading they belong to, not next to your identifier.
What we keep, and for how long
We keep the readings — the cards, the reading that was written, and the measurements around it. We keep them because the quality of the reading is the product, and we cannot improve what we cannot look at.
Your question is not stored as you typed it. Before anything is written down, names, numbers, dates, links, email addresses and handles are stripped out of it. "Will things work out with Sarah?" is stored as "Will things work out with <name>?". What we keep is the shape of the question, because the shape is what we measure.
The stripped question is then deleted after 30 days. What survives is the category (subject, question type, length), the cards, the reading and the measurements. A quality problem is looked at within days; nobody needs the sentence six months later.
These records do not contain your identifier. The stored reading is not linked to the device that asked for it. We cannot look up "everything this person asked", because that connection is never written down.
One honest limit: the reading itself is written by a model from your question, so it can restate details you gave. Readings are kept, and we do not strip them.
Your IP address is used for two things and then dropped: to determine which country a request comes from (this app is not offered in every country), and to cap how many readings can come from one network in a month, which is how we stop one machine from running up the bill. We do not write it into our own records. Like any service on the internet, the company that hosts our server keeps its own short-term access logs, which contain IP addresses.
Everything else — the cards, the readings, the measurements — is kept for as long as the app exists. It carries no identifier, so it is not about you; it is about how well the cards were read.
Who else sees your question
Readings are written by a large language model. To write one, your question and the cards on the table are sent to OpenAI, which processes them and returns the text. OpenAI's handling of that data is governed by their own terms for API customers.
Nobody else. There is no advertising in this app, no analytics service, no tracking SDK, and we do not sell or share data with anyone else.
Please do not tell us things you would not want stored
Names and numbers are stripped and the question is deleted after 30 days, but the sentence still goes to a model, and the reading written from it is kept. Treat the question box as something that gets written down. If you would not want a sentence stored, do not type it.
This app is for reflection and entertainment. It is not advice, and it is not the place for a medical, legal, financial, or psychological problem. If you are in crisis or thinking about harming yourself, please talk to someone who can help — a doctor, a local emergency number, or a crisis line in your country.
Age
This app is intended for people aged 16 and over.
Your choices
- Delete everything on your phone: uninstall the app. Your deck, your readings and your identifier go with it.
- Stop sending anything: stop asking questions. Nothing is sent unless you turn cards.
- Ask about the records we hold: because stored readings carry no identifier, we generally cannot find yours in order to delete them. If you believe a specific reading should be removed and you can tell us enough to find it, write to us and we will remove it.
Changes
If this policy changes in a way that affects what we collect or who sees it, the change will be described here with a new date.
